Welfare Board for auto drivers urged

Pondicherry: Members cutting across party lines made a fervent plea to the Government in the Assembly during question hour on Wednesday to constitute a Welfare Board for auto drivers and workers.

The Health and Labour Minister of Pondicherry, E. Valsaraj, told them that as soon as the draft bill received from the Centre highlighting the features for the benefits meant for auto drivers and workers, came into existence, the Government would adopt it for the benefit of the auto drivers and workers.
