ISLAMABAD: American President George Bush telephoned President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday to express his "deep appreciation" for Pakistan's role in fighting terrorism, said the Foreign Ministry in a statement. According to the statement, Mr. Bush said he was looking forward to "the opportunity of exchanging views on international developments and on measures to further strengthen the strategic relationship between Pakistan and the United States" during Gen. Musharraf's visit to the U.S. next month. Gen. Musharraf is scheduled to visit the U.S. after attending the Non-Aligned Meet in Havana. Gen. Musharraf's 10-day stay in the U.S. includes a stop in New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly and launch his autobiography "In the Line of Fire." On his way to NAM, Gen. Musharraf will stop in Brussels where he is expected to address an international conference on Kashmir.
