KOLLAM: The Democratic Indira Congress(Karunakaran) has denied reports that party president K. Muraleedharan had been removed from the president's post of the pro-DIC(K) Kerala Cashew Workers Congress (KCWC). At a press conference here on Wednesday, working president of the KCWC G. Krishnankutty said that some frustrated elements from the KCWC had left the union and the party and this had in no way affected the KCWC. Reports that a general council meeting of the KCWC had taken the decision to remove Mr. Muraleedharan were also not true. Mr.Krishnankutty said that so such general council had been convened and without the knowledge of the working president the general council cannot be convened.
