Assault on Sikh teenager condemned

HYDERABAD: The Central Gurudwara Saheb, Gowliguda, in a statement issued here on Wednesday condemned the assault on a Sikh teenager in Jaipur on Tuesday and demanded action against those involved in the assault.

A demonstration by the Prabhandak Committee office bearers of the city's Sikh Gurudwaras was held on Wednesday and a resolution seeking action against persons involved in the incident was passed and forwarded to President A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and Governor Rameshwar Thakur.

The 17-year-old boy Inderpreet Singh was attacked by miscreants when he protested against the harassment of a girl and his hair was cut forcibly, the statement said.
