CHANDIGARH: The Centre has appointed Haryana Minister of State for Forests and Tourism Kiran Choudhry as the Convener of the Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan in the State, according to a communication received by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. An official spokesman said here on Wednesday that the Abhiyan would be carried out throughout the country to bring all elected women representatives of the Panchayati Raj institutions to a common platform for discussions and deliberations on various issues.
