MANGALORE: A group of 250 activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took out a mock funeral of cola giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo through the main city thoroughfares here on Wednesday. They demanded a complete ban on the manufacture and sale of leading cola brands such as Pepsi and Coca-Cola following reports that they contained high levels of pesticides. The activists also set fire to crates of soft drinks.

The protesters also poured out the contents of soft drink bottles on the road as a mark of protest.
