NPS, Koramangala, celebrates third anniversary



TAKING CHARGE: The new leaders of St. John's High School, Vijayanagar.

BANGALORE: National Public School, Koramangala, celebrated its third "birthday" recently.

The programme began with an entertainment show by the staff. Principal Bindu Hari praised the team spirit, hard work and efficiency displayed by the staff. Chairman K.P. Gopalakrishna stressed the need for teachers to keep themselves updated with the latest in the field of teaching and in their own subject areas. He called upon them to be creative to keep the students interested and motivated.

Vinyasadhara

Venkat International Public School, Rajajinagar, organised "Vinyasadhara," a talent fest, recently. The three-day event had much talent on display.

T. Balakrishna, chairman of St. Ann's and Venkat Group of Institutions, inaugurated the fest. He encouraged the students to excel in every field of activity, be it academic, cultural or social. Cine artiste Tulasi Shivamani was the chief guest at the valedictory function. Principal Sulochana Balakrishna presided over the function.

Investiture

St. John's High School, Vijayanagar, organised its investiture ceremony recently. Senior teachers of the school selected the student leaders on the basis of their overall performance. Headmistress Girija. K.R., pinned the badges and administered the oath to the leaders. Principal Janaki Parameshwaram presided and exhorted the students to develop leadership qualities.

Cubs and Bulbuls camp

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Nagarjuna Vidya Niketan, Yelahanka, hosted a Cubs and Bulbuls camp for the students of neighbouring schools recently. Over 170 Cubs and Bulbuls participated in the camp. They participated in various activities such as all faith prayer, first-aid, whistle signal and sense testing games.

They were also taken around the school campus for a nature walk.
