Discount in bus fare
The APSRTC Ranaga Reddy Region is offering discount in fare on inter-district `Kinglong' bus services. The Regional Manager, S. Nagaraju, said that the discount on luxury bus service was offered in view of slack season. The buses would operate from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Eluru and Mancheriyal. The discount would be on till December 31. - Staff Reporter

Award for DRR team
A team of scientists of the Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, led by N. Shobha Rani, principal scientist, crop improvement, has bagged the ICAR Award for Multi-disciplinary Team Research in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. The other members are S.V. Subbaiah, S.P.
