Handicrafts expo inaugurated

HYDERABAD: With the city preparing for `Vinayak Chaturthi', Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium and Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd., organised a handicrafts and handloom exhibition on the theme `Ganesh' at the Zorastrian Club on Wednesday.

The exhibition displays specialities from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa and Gujarat apart from handicrafts and handloom from Andhra Pradesh.

Paintings on rosewood from Mysore, bronze-casting work, Nirmal painting etc. are some of the attractions.

The products have been priced at affordable rates and within the reach of all sections.

A wide variety of dress material is also available besides key chains, bags, showpieces, curtains, bedcovers, cushion-covers, wall hangings etc.

B. Anjan Raju, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, inaugurated the exhibition, which will be on till September 3.
