BIJAPUR: Rashtreeya Hindu Sena has demanded that Syeda Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Women's University, Bijapur, be removed from the post in the wake of the Government's decision to institute an inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds and other discrepancies in the university. Talking to presspersons here on Thursday, Rashtreeya Hindu Sena president Pramod Muthalik said the charges were against Dr. Akhtar, and the inquiry would not be fair if she were to be allowed to continue. He also demanded that the ongoing recruitment process for faculty members be stopped. There had been charges of corruption in the process and they had been made by none other than a syndicate member of the university, he said.
