Tegic launches XT9 mobile software

NEW DELHI: Tegic Communications, a unit of America Online's (AOL) wireless division, on Thursday launched its popular XT9 software, an advanced version of T9 mobile interface software, designed to enable users to easily switch messaging modes, as well as numbers, letters, symbols and languages, making it faster and easier to enter text. AOL Mobile's Senior Country Manager, Mridul Srivastava, said the company had tied up with Samsung, Toshiba and Taiwan's HTC to use the software in their upcoming models, while talks were on with Nokia.
