`Macbeth' magic again

TREAT IN STORE: For English theatre buffs.

Staging Shakespearean plays is considered a tough proposition, for it is a demanding task to bring the Elizabethan society back to life on stage.

But it seems that the English Literary Association of The American College has developed a liking for such ventures. Having tasted success in its earlier attempts with `A Midsummer Night's Dream' and `The Merchant of Venice,' this time around it is all set to entertain the Madurai audience with `Macbeth.'

Directed by N. Elango of Department of English, the play will be staged at the college auditorium from August 28 to September 2.
