KOZHIKODE: Minister for Education M.A. Baby on Thursday said he would consider the educational development needs of Wayanad.
Education complex
He inaugurated the new block for a Teacher Education Complex and laid the foundation stone for a tribal studies centre at Thonichal in Mananathavadi. The projects were drawn up by Kannur University. Mr. Baby said the Left Democratic Front Government's response to the educational needs of various regions would be based on studies and regional requirements.
Objective studies
He said objective studies to understand the needs of the people would enable the Government to develop norms to shape its educational development policies.
He said the approach would benefit the North Kerala region, especially Wayanad.
Vice-Chancellor, Kannur University, P. Chandramohan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor K. Kunhikrishnan and MLA-North Wayanad K.C. Kunhiraman spoke.
