SEZ approvals

NEW DELHI: The Empowered Group of Ministers on Special Economic Zones headed by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee has removed the ceiling of 150 for these zones, to enable more proposals in the pipeline to be cleared. Disclosing this here on Wednesday, Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath said that States had been seeking setting up of more such zones which were expected to enable huge revenue generation by both the public and private sectors.
