PATHANAMTHITTA: Kerala Congress(M) leader K.M.Mani, MLA, will inaugurate the two-day party State leadership camp to be held at the Mar Thoma Youth Centre in Adoor on August 26 and 27. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, KC(M) State general secretry Joseph M. Puthusserrry, MLA and district president Victor T. Thomas said party chairman C.F. Thomas, MLA, would preside over the inaugural session on August 26 afternoon. Mr. Puthusserry said that the meeting of the party secretariat and steering committee would be held earlier in the forenoon as a prelude to the State camp. The KC(M) general secretary has alleged that the 100-day old Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government has led the State to a state of total anarchy, besides setting an all-time record in terms of introducing various anti-people policies. He condemned the alleged attempt by the LDF Government to usurp the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the minority communities. Mr. Puthusserry alleged that the Government was making conscious attempts to create chaos and anarchy in the professional education sector by raking up unnecessary controversies over the self-financing institutions. He alleged that custodial deaths and farmers in penury committing suicides have become common in different parts of the State. The KC(M) general secretary has accused the LDF Government of sabotaging various relief schemes introduced by the previous United Democratic Front Government for farmers. He said that the KC(M) leadership camp would chalk out future course of action.
