THRISSUR :Thrissur captain Pravin Achuthan (116, 156b, 10 x 4, 4 x 6) and Ernakulam leg-spinner R. Rakesh (seven for 62) shared the opening day's honours in the Central Zone under-19 inter-District cricket championship at the Government Engineering College Ground here on Thursday. Thrissur, which made 241 in its first innings, held a huge advantage after forcing Ernakulam to 90 for six at the end of first day in the two-dayer. In another league match, at the Kunnamkulam Senior Ground, Palakkad made 234 against Idukki. The scores: At Thrissur: Thrissur 241 in 61.5 overs (Pravin Achuthan 116, R. Rakesh seven for 62) v Ernakulam 90 for six in 28 overs (Jineesh 45 n.o., P.U. Anthaf three for 22).
