PG Sports Council bags team title

Mysore: PG Sports Council, Manasagangothri, weight-lifter's good show helped it clinch the team championship with 28 points in the Mysore University's inter-collegiate weight-lifting championships 2006-07 for men held at the University Gymnasium hall here on Thursday. SBRR Mahajana FGC was second with 25 points.

The results: 56kg: 1. K. Srikanth (SBRR MFGC), 2. Shantaraju (PGSC), 3. B.R. Lokesh (PGSC). 62kg: 1. Cheluvaranganatha (PGSC), 2. K.N. Hariprasad (PGSC), 3. P.R. Gurumurthy Bhat (D. Bhanumiah's Eve.College). 69kg: 1. M. Anil Kumar (SBRR Mahajana FGC), 2. Sannaswamy M. (PG Sports Council), 3. P. Chetana (SBRR Mahajana FGC). 77kg: 1. C. Chandrakumar (PGSC), 2. H.S. Yogesh (PES (S), Mandya), 3. M.P. Nandish Varun (SBRR Mahajana FGC). 85kg: 1. B.S. Vikranth (SBRR Mahajana FGC), 2. Naseeh Kurikkalagath (PGSC), 3. H.P. Sharath Kumar (PES (S), Mandya). 94 kg: 1. Amid Narimani Kenari (SBRR Mahajana FGC), 2. L.K. Srikanth (SBRR MFGC). 105kg: 1. Akesh G. Bhandvalkar (B. Somani FGC). 105kg plus: 1. Chidananda (PGSC), 2. J. Yogesh (JSS (L) College).
