Delhi Police blanks BSNL
NEW DELHI: Ashok Kumar scored a hat-trick and Mahesh Bisht struck twice as Delhi Police blanked BSNL 6-0 in a league match of the Delhi State institutional hockey league at the Shivaji Stadium on Thursday. Parveen was the other scorer.
In another match, Indian Airlines (Northern Region) thrashed Indraprastha Gas Company Limited 9-0. Ravinder and Virinder scored two goals each while Sombir, Sanjay Bhatia, Ashutosh Verma, Yogender Rawat and Prashant were the other scorers.
In the Delhi School league, Bal Bharti School, Noida, defeated Modern School, Barakhamba Road 3-0. The other matches saw Amity School, Noida beat Sindhu Public School 4-1 and Ganga International School edge past Sawan Public School 3-2.
