Hype or reality

There has been no dearth of issues to talk about in the city in the last few days. From the controversy-ridden Outer Ring Road project to the latest Telangana Rashtra Samithi's decision to part ways with the UPA to press for statehood.

But there appears to be a favourable fallout of the current phase. An automatic correction of real estate prices seems to be on the cards. If the last few months saw land prices climbing up steadily, they have begun tumbling now, if experience of some realtors is any indication.

Amidst all this, confused and uncertain is the common man. With different media organisations giving different perceptions about the pulse of the Telangana people, there is one question doing rounds. Is it hype or reality that is behind the two current hot issues? Well time will only tell.
