Tighter security for Thaksin

BANGKOK: Thai authorities have tightened security at both Government House and the private residence of caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Bangkok on Friday after police foiled an alleged car bomb plot to assassinate Mr. Thaksin on Thursday. On Friday, all vehicles permitted entry to Government House, located in central Bangkok, were thoroughly searched by police. Security was also increased at Mr. Thaksin's personal residence. — Xinhua
