High Court adjourns MLC plea to next week

BANGALORE:
The Karnataka High Court on Friday adjourned to next week hearing on a petition by the suspended Bharatiya Janata Party MLC from Bellary, C. Janardhan Reddy, seeking a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against the Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy, soem of his Cabijnet collegaues and others.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy had on Wednesday alleged that Mr. Kumaraswamy and several of his family members had amassed ill-gotten wealth and had been threatening the mine owners in Bellary and demanding bribes from them.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy ad sought a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the issue.
When the matter came up for hearing on Friday, Justice D.V. Shylendra Kumar adjourned further hearing on the matter.
