Plan to disburse Rs. 150-cr. loans to women samakhyas

KADAPA: An action plan is being formulated to disburse Rs.150 crores as loans to women samakhyas under various Government schemes, DRDA Project Director Hariprakash said on Friday.

Addressing a district-level marketing meeting organised by Agro Association here, he called upon members of district, mandal and village samakhyas to enlighten farmers on raising profit-yielding crops.

Banks gave loans worth Rs. 160 crores to the samakhyas in the past, he said. Women samakhyas had taken up fertilizer sales with the assistance of Agro and Markfed in 14 mandals.
