Panel discusses pending cases

Rajahmundry: The Rajahmundry Women Committee (RWC), which met here on Friday, discussed the cases pending before it. They included dowry harassment, domestic violence against women and women atrocities.

Ramana Chowdary, president of the committee, said that out of the cases discusses by the committee, some cases were settled through counselling and the remaining handed over to the police for further action.

In one such cases, a man along with his mother and other family members were arrested by the police for allegedly killing his wife.

The committee took up tree plantation in the city.
