YSR to visit Mahabubnagar

MAHABUBNAGAR: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajashekara Reddy will visit Narayanpet town in the district on Saturday.

According to officials, the Chief Minister will arrive at Narayanpet around 10a.m. He will inaugurate the buildings of MPDO, municipal office and eSeva centre. He will unveil the statue of late C. Narsi Reddy, former MLA of Maktal who was assassinated by Maoists on August 15, 2005 in Narayanpet. Dr. Reddy will also review the progress of the works with the Irrigation Department officials. He will also address a public meeting.

Meanwhile the police are making unprecedented security arrangements, since this is the first visit of the Chief Minister to the district after the killing of Maoists State secretary Madhav. It is said that eight DSPs, 20 Circle Inspector, 70 Sub-Inspectors, 60 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 500 constables, 40 woman constables and 400 home guards had been deployed from three districts to oversee the security arrangements.
