U.K. group plans university in India

KOCHI: The U.K-based Aima Services Group plans to establish a university in India soon. Promoters of the group Brian Liston and Naresh Eyani said here on Friday that the group had initiated talks with the Indian Government for setting up the university. Mr. Eyani said they preferred to establish the educational institution in South India. "We would like to set up the university in places like Munnar and Ooty," he said. Staff Reporter

Flight cancelled

NEDUMBASSERY: As many as 144 passengers were stranded at the Cochin International Airport on Friday after a Mumbai-bound Air Deccan flight was cancelled. The flight was cancelled after it was grounded owing to a technical snag. Flight, DN 720, operating in the Thiruvananthapuram-Kochi-Mumbai sector was to leave from here at 5.50 p.m. Staff Reporter
