Seminar on media language concludes

MALAPPURAM: A two-day national seminar on the use and abuse of language in media came to a conclusion at the PSMO College, Tirurangadi, on Saturday.

The Department of English, PSMO College, organised the seminar with the support of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Calicut University Pro-Vice-Chancellor C. Gopinathan Pillai inaugurated the seminar.

K.T. Jaleel, MLA, inaugurated a session on visual media on Saturday morning. V.S. Sasibhooshanan Nair, Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Calicut University, moderated a discussion on electronic media language.

Subhash Kuttan, Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Kerala University, presented a paper.
