THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Technopark firm, Compu-Needs, launched its branded personal computer, `Com 10,' on Friday. Minister for Law M. Vijayakumar launched a range of `Com 10' PCs at a function here. He termed Compu-Needs' entry into computer hardware manufacturing sector an encouraging development since there were hardly any big companies in this sector in the State. The company's managing director, Gokul Govind, said `Com 10' combined high quality and unbeatable performance with a price tag that could beat assembled computers. The company also promised efficient after-sales service. The company had tie-ups with financial institutions for easily repayable loans to purchase computers. The company had a special package for students who wanted to buy computers, he said. As an inaugural offer, the company would extend three years' warranty on the computer, in addition to a gift of CDs.
