Water supply to

be affected

NEW DELHI: Due to repair work being carried out on the booster pumping station at Trilokpuri, water supply will be affected from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at Trilokpuri, Kalyanpuri and Khichripur. Residents have been advised to store sufficient quantities of water in advance.

Water tankers will be available on telephone (No. 22727812 and 22731020).

New park dedicated

to residents of Rohini

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi dedicated a new park developed by its Horticulture Department to the residents of Rohini Sector 13 here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Jai Kishan Sharma said the Department was committed to providing a pollution-free environment to the Capital's citizens. The local Councillor, Vijender Kumar Gupta, said that with the inauguration of the park a long-pending demand of the residents had been fulfilled.

Application forms

for IGNOU courses

NEW DELHI: The last date for submission of application forms for Master's and Bachelor's degree programmes of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is August 31 with a late fee of Rs.200.

According to an IGNOU release, the student handbook and prospectus can be obtained from all the regional centres of IGNOU on payment of Rs.50 in cash. Application forms can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website.

Blood donation camp

NEW DELHI: A three-day blood donation camp organised by Punjab National Bank ended here on Friday. The camp was inaugurated by PNB Chairman and Managing Director S. C. Gupta and employees of the bank donated 370 units of blood.

Mr. Gupta said PNB was organising such camps not only at the corporate level but also in all branches and other administrative offices of the bank.

For the past 20 years PNB has been regularly organising such camps in association with the Red Cross Society of India.

Painting exhibition

NEW DELHI: A five-day solo exhibition of paintings by Reema Bansal was inaugurated by the Director-General of the Bureau of Police, Research and Development, Kiran Bedi, at AIFACS Gallery here on Saturday. Titled "Strokes III", the exhibition showcases paintings and sketches by Reema, a psychology student of Lady Shri Ram College.

The artist will be donating 15 per cent of the proceeds of the show to Indian Vision Foundation, a non-government organisation.
