Criminal held during tenant verification

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old man, allegedly involved in cases of murder, dacoity and drug peddling in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, was arrested during a tenant verification drive at Gokulpuri in North-East Delhi over the weekend.

The man identified himself as Shakil, a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.

He was involved in 33 criminal cases at Meerut, Ghaziabad and Delhi, the police said.
