MANGALORE: Dakshina Kannada district unit of All India Progressive Janata Dal (AIPJD) has convened a party workers' meet here on Tuesday. Savanur Sathish Salian, president of the district unit of AIPJD, told presspersons here on Saturday that the meeting would discuss the proposed merger of the AIPJD with the Congress in Bangalore on September 3. Mr. Salian said the meeting would chalk out strategies to ensure greater participation of party workers at the September 3 rally. Kodandaramaiah, former MP; K. Kamalkar Gokarna, former MLC; and Bhakta Rame Gowda, general secretary; would attend the meeting, he said.
