Kumaraswamy has assets worth Rs. 14 crore

Assets of H.D. Revanna's family estimated at Rs. 8.18 crore


  • Chief Minister's liabilities put at Rs. 11 crore
  • H.D. Revanna's liabilities amount to Rs. 6.22 crore
  • Seven Ministers have assets in excess of Rs. 1 crore each

    BANGALORE: Seven members of the H.D. Kumaraswamy Ministry have assets exceeding Rs. 1 crore each. The Chief Minister's family is leading the group with assets estimated at Rs. 14 crore.

    His brother and Minister for Public Works H.D. Revanna's family has declared assets estimated at Rs. 8.18 crore.

    According to the statutory declarations made before the Lok Ayukta, Mr. Kumaraswamy has assets estimated at Rs. 3.97 crore, his wife Anita Rs. 10.31 crore and his son Nikhil Rs. 4.55 lakh. These assets do not include the possession of 3.25 kg of gold, 42 kg of silver, 4 carat diamonds of Mr. Kumaraswamy and 40 carat diamonds of Ms. Anita.

    The family has declared liabilities to the extent of Rs. 11 crore.

    Mr. Kumaraswamy owns 28 acres of land at Kethiganahalli estimatd at Rs. 5.28 lakh, a house in J.P. Nagar 3rd Phase, Bangalore (Rs. 1.43 crore) and an industrial site in Mysore (Rs. 38,000). As a member of an undivided family, he owns a house property (Rs. 3.61 lakh), PPF of Rs. 99,107, an amount of Rs. 7.9 lakh, gets rent of Rs. 90,000 and possesses 550 gm of gold jewellery and 6.5 kg of silver articles.

    Ms. Anita owns property estimated at Rs. 6.37 crore at Doddanakundi village and has a share capital of Rs. 2.91 crore in Kasthuri Medias Private Ltd.

    Mr. Revanna has declared assets estimated at Rs. 1.53 crore. His wife Bhavani Revanna is said to possess assets estimated at Rs. 6.58 crore and his two sons — Suraj and Prajwal — are stated to possess Rs. 2.78 lakh and Rs. 3.68 lakh. They have in their possession 2.67 kg of gold, 27 kg of silver, and 18 carats diamond and other precious stones.

    Mr. Revanna owns a house in Holenarasipur estimated at Rs. 43.69 lakh. He has another house at Banashankari II Stage, Bangalore (Rs. 28.40 lakh). He has agricultural land estimated at Rs. 7.17 lakh and a farmhouse in Arkalgud taluk estimated at Rs. 3.3 lakh. As a member of undivided family he owns house property estimated at Rs. 3.61 lakh and has Rs. 8.20 lakh in his name. His wife owns property in Doddanakundi Industrial area estimated at Rs. 6.37 crore and agricultural lands estimated at Rs. 7.60 lakh. They have declared liability to the extent of Rs. 6.22 crore.

    The break-up of the other seven ministers having assets over a crore is: Katta Subramanya Naidu (Rs. 3.69 crore); B. Sreeramulu (Rs. 5.10 crore); Iqbal Ansari (Rs. 3.5 crore), B. Nagaraja Shetty (Rs. 1.91 crore) and Balachandra Jarkiholi (Rs. 1.88 crore).

    The two ministers whose assets exceed Rs. 1 crore when calculated with their family as a whole are D.H. Shankaramurthy (Rs. 1.36 crore) and K.S. Eshwarappa (Rs. 1.32 crore). Mr. Eshwarappa's family has declared its liabilities worth Rs. 53.94 lakh.

    Three Ministers have also declared their liabilities. They are: Mr. Naidu (Rs. 1.45 crore), Mr. Sreeramulu (Rs. 1.71 crore) and Mr. Shetty (Rs. 17.51 lakh).
