Two more soft drinks fail tests

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Government, which has already filed cases against manufacturers of certain soft drinks, has now moved the court against the makers of Thums Up and Mirinda.

Health Minister R. Ashok said here on Monday that tests on samples of the two soft drinks showed that they contained pesticides in excess of the permissible limits.

In an informal chat with presspersons here, he said the Government was planning to file cases against the manufacturers of Pepsi also for the same reason.

Complaints had been received about bottled water too, he said.
