Call to protect Government land

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Joint Collector Muktheshwar Rao has directed revenue officials to create such an atmosphere that none will dare to touch Government lands in the twin cities. Addressing a meeting of mandal revenue officers, revenue district officers and Government pleaders on Saturday to review the progress of court cases in the Collectorate, Mr. Rao expressed concern over losing cases related to land-grabbing and asked MROs to prepare proper records with regard to all court cases. In order to educate MROs on how most of the cases were lost in court, the district administration was planning to convene a meeting. All monthly statements and self-appraisal reports would be stored in a database to have a case-wise status report, he said. Mr. Rao said he would review status of pending court cases on every third Saturday, according to a press release.
