Autorickshaw drivers warned

Special Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram: District Collector N. Ayyappan on Monday warned of action against autorickshaw drivers cramming school children in their vehicles.

"We have received complaints of some vehicles carrying 10 to 15 children in autos designed to transport three persons. Small children find it difficult to breathe.

Some children are even seated by the side of the driver or in front. Most of these trips are to school."

Mr. Ayyappan urged parents to desist from sending children in such crammed vehicles.
