Vedike thanks Centre

Staff Correspondent

Bidar: Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has thanked the Centre for filing an "objective report" before the Supreme Court on the status of Belgaum and other towns.

"Now, Maharashtra should stop spreading venom between Kannadigas and Marathi-speaking people and concentrate on development," said vedike leader Praveen Kumar Shetty in Bidar.

Mr. Shetty was speaking at a meeting of pro-Kannada organisations on the occasion of the fifth anniversary celebrations of the Kannadambe Geleyara Balaga. He urged the State Government to pursue legal alternatives available to ensure that the Mahajan Commission report was implemented completely.
