Jairam Ramesh to attend UPASI conference

KOCHI: Union Minister of State for Commerce, Jairam Ramesh, will be the chief guest at the 113th annual conference of the United Planters' Association of Southern India in Coonoor on September 16.The main conference will be preceded by a full day session on commodities on September 15. There will be a technical session on pesticide residues, in which, papers will be presented by D. Kanungo, Assistant Director General and Chairman, Pesticide Residue Committee, Directorate General of Health and Service, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. S K Handa WHO Consultant, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Dr Andrew Scott, of Tata Tetley of the U.K., says a press release.
