HUBLI: Aravind Jannu, Commissioner for Sericulture Development and Director of Sericulture, has called upon farmers to come forward to adopt new technologies in sericulture for better yield. He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop on "Experience-sharing in rain-fed sericulture" organised by Bharatiya Agro Industries Foundation (BAIF) Institute for Rural Development in association with Swiss Development Centre (SDC), Sericulture Programme Unit (SPU) and the Department of Sericulture here on Tuesday. He said new methods developed by non-governmental organisations had reduced the requirement of water and showed that innovative methods gave better yield.
