Goondas Act covers sand offenders

CHENNAI: An amendment to the Goondas Act, so as to include sand offenders, was passed by the Assembly on Monday. The amendment to the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug-Offenders, Forest-Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic-Offenders, Slum-Grabbers and Video Pirates Act was introduced in the House by Minister for Revenue and Law, I. Periasamy.
