CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu with an all-win record in the super-league won the title at the sixth all-India BSNL basketball tournament here on Tuesday. Holder Kerala with two wins secured the second spot, while Orissa finished third with a solitary victory. In the last of the super-league matches, Tamil Nadu defeated Kerala 88-66. Tamil Nadu started in style, scoring two three-pointers. Helped by some accurate passing it was leading 28-16 at the end of the first quarter. The Tamil Nadu players found the target with ease and also counter-attacked well. On the other hand, Kerala players missed even easy chances. By the end of the third quarter, Tamil Nadu was up 72-43.Jayashree Mahesh, Chief Manager, ICICI and C. Jayasankar Menon, former basketball international gave away the prizes.
