ORR: CPI(M) dares Government to debate

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Vowing to expose alleged irregularities by officials in altering the Outer Ring Road (ORR) alignment to benefit realtors, the CPI (M) has dared the Government to join an open debate on land acquisition.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, CPI (M) MLAs N. Narsimhaiah and Tammineni Veerabhadram flayed the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) for its campaign against their party that it was deliberately raising the land acquisition issue to obstruct development.

Mr. Veerabhadram ridiculed the CLP's suggestion that his party should release the list of persons whose lands had been acquired for the ORR project.

The onus lay on the Government to come up with such a list and prove its innocence.
