BankAm private equity arm shuts shop in India

MUMBAI: Bank of America has pulled curtains on its private equity division, Bank of America Equity Partners (BAEP) here, which was set up as part of the company's expansion plans in this region in 1997. The Indian subsidiary was established with an aim of providing development capital to companies in various high-growth industries such as technology.
