ALAPPUZHA: A man was killed in a clash at Pottikkavala in Thannermukkom on Monday night, the police said. The victim is S. Nazeer of Uooraikkattu Nikarthil, Thrichattukulam. The police said Nazeer, accused in several theft cases, and his friends visited a toddy shop on Monday evening and after drinking, a clash broke out among them. Nazeer was seriously injured. He took refuge in a neighbour's house. The owner of the house informed the police, and Nazeer was taken to Cherthala taluk hospital, where he was declared dead.
