Chandigarh: The Punjab Council of Ministers on Tuesday decided to convene the 12th session of the State Assembly here on September 14 which is expected to be the last session before the Assembly elections early next year. A decision to convene the Assembly session was taken at a meeting of CoM presided by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh here on Tueday. Elections to the 117-member Assembly were last held in February 1997. Capt.Singh had earlier announced that the session would be convened in mid-September for discussing the development carried out during the five year Congress regime headed by him and the previous rule of the SAD-BJP alliance.
