Bangalore: All the 176 taluks divided into three zones for concessions and incentives. Zone 1 comprises 79 most backward taluks, zone 2 comprises 85 backward taluks and zone 3 comprises 12 industrially developed taluks. Capital investment subsidy up to 25 per cent in zone 1 and 20 per cent in zone 2 for tiny and small-scale industries. One-time capital subsidy up to 50 per cent of the cost with a ceiling of Rs. 1 crore to be offered for setting up effluent treatment plants in all zones. Entry tax and special entry tax exemption for three years in zones 1 and 2 on procurement of capital goods and five-year tax exemption on purchase of raw material. Grant of five acres of land along with a capital contribution of 50 per cent of the project cost for establishment of human resource development training centres by industries. Recurring costs for running the institutions will be provided up to a maximum of Rs. 15 lakh a year for three years. Four per cent interest subsidy for upgrading technology. Concessions for investments in information technology and biotechnology sectors to continue.
