NALGONDA: The Miryalaguda police on Tuesday arrested an alleged dossier criminal, who was involved in more than 100 burglaries, and his wife and recovered Rs.2.5 lakhs worth of gold and silver ornaments from them. The Miryalaguda divisional Officer on Special Duty, M.Laxminarayana, said that Razak alias Raji Reddy alias Raju (50) of Chapali village in Kadapa district was involved in housebreak cases in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra. In his reported confession to the police, Razak revealed that he never burgled a house during night in his `35 years of criminal life.' He had jumped bail many times, he said. "He broke into more than 100 locked houses during day time and he committed the series of crimes, all alone. He uses a small rod to break the locks and a motor cycle to decamp with the booty," the OSD told reporters. The couple rented a house at Vidyanagar in Miryalaguda town but the police could lay their hands on them before they started their "operations." The police arrested Razak's wife Ratnakumari on the charge of helping him in selling the booty to goldsmiths.
