Captain begins countdown to 150
Captain Vijayakant is nearing his 150th film.
The actor is working day and night for `Dharmapuri', his 148th film, with full vigour. He revealed his plans to finish `Dharmapuri' in a month in between shooting near the toll plaza on ECR Road.
"I have planned it in such a way that it is released on Deepavali." His next project is `Sabari', his 149th film, produced by Salem Chandrasekaran for Sri Saravana Creations. The film is tipped to be released on Pongal while `Captain's 150th film will be ready by Tamil New Year day.
The script for `Sabari', which deals with the problems of doctors, is ready. Director Suresh said the film seemed to be tailor-made for Captain. "Vijayakant has not done the role of a doctor in any of his films."
