Inspection of theatres ordered

Bid to ensure healthy atmosphere

CHENNAI: Minister for Information Parithi Ilamvazhuthi on Monday informed the Assembly that the Government had instructed the licensing authorities and Superintendents of Police to make surprise inspections of theatres whenever new films are released and take action against those providing extra seats.

Cinemagoers should be entertained in a healthy atmosphere, he said.
