HYDERABAD: Ten feet wide footpaths are to be built alongside all the roads being widened up to 150 ft with 25 ft exclusively to be dedicated as bus lanes. For roads of width up to 100 ft like the Punjagutta to Lakidikapul, the footpath width is to be eight feet and six inches from the ground. MCH Commissioner Sanjay Jaju gave these specifications during his inspection of road widening works with his senior officials and those of other departments like power and RTC on Tuesday. He called for a speedy shifting of electric poles on the Punjagutta to Erragadda road where widening was on. Later on, he also visited Yellabanda at Kukatpally to review the housing work for rehabilitating those living on the Hussainsagar surplus nala, a press release said.
