Three companies found selling low-quality milk

Staff Reporter

Kochi: The packed milk marketed by three private companies in the district was found to be below the required standards of quality.

The three companies are Penta, Hima and Taste Me. The non-fat solids in the milk marketed by these companies were found to be below the desired standards. However, no other chemicals or contamination could be detected in any of these brands.

This was detected by the District Milk Quality Control Unit of the Dairy Development Department, during a special drive launched for the Onam season.
