Man held for selling medicines illegally
Acting on a tip-off that a person had been selling medicines meant for Government hospitals at cheaper rates, the Special Staff of the North Delhi police sent a decoy to strike a deal with him. As soon as the deal was finalised, the police mounted a raid and arrested him. During interrogation, he identified himself as Rajan Kapoor. He allegedly procured the medicines and surgical items from one Jeet and supplied them to his customers from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. After buying medicines, Rajan would remove the "Government Supply, Not for Sale" stamp by using some chemical. He told the police that Jeet used to get the medicines from Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Narayan Hospital in connivance with some hospital staff. A hunt has been launched for him and others involved.
